Plotly is a supergroup of nearly a hundred full-time employees, contractors, open-source developers, editors, designers, sales specialists, data scientists, and bloggers. We come from both industry and research institutions such as Harvard, Stanford, MIT, and McGill.

Fernando Perez

Perez is the creator of the IPython notebook, an open-source platform that is eclipsing MATLAB and other traditional scientific computing workflows. Perez is a research scientist at UC Berkeley in neuroscience, founding investigator of the Berkeley Data Science Institute, and founding member of the Numfocus Foundation. He is the recipient of the 2012 Award for the Advancement of Free Software from the Free Software Foundation.
